3. Introduction of Chinese Language Learning

| According to students' Chinese level, the elementary courses are offered including primary Chinese, intermediate Chinese, advanced Chinese, etc. All the courses cultivate students' listening, speaking, reading and writing and help them to pass the HSK exam; meanwhile optional courses of culture are offered such as calligraphy, drawing, Taichi and so on.

Short-Term
(Two weeks to six months)
| Students focus on exercise Chinese listening and speaking. The courses of pinyin, conversation, reading and listening are offered. According to students' requirements, they will learn lectures of calligraphy, Chinese drawing, Taichi, Chinese cuisine and so on.

II. Admission and Requirements
1. Undergraduate Students: Non-Chinese nationality, with high school diploma and transcript, 18-25 years old.
2. Postgraduate Students: Non-Chinese nationality, with undergraduate diploma, two professors' recommendation letters, report card, no more than 40 years old.
3. Chinese Language Students: Non-Chinese nationality, interested in Chinese language and culture, normally no more than 45 years old (in the special case, the student's age may relax suitably). After entrance, students are divided into classes according to their Chinese level.
Note: In the above two items, the students balked of Chinese courses need add one year to learn Chinese language.
III. Admission Time
1. Undergraduate students: early September each year
2. Postgraduate students: early September each year
3. Chinese Language students: February and September each year or negotiable
(Deadline in the autumn registration: Sept 15th, deadline in the spring registration: Mar 15th)
IV. Admission Procedure
1. All the students applying for HUEB at his/her own expense please contact International Education School directly.
2. Please download and fill inthe application blank for overseas students of HUEBand provide graduation certificate, transcript, copy of passport and physical examination report.
3. For admission, the applicant will receive Admission Letter and Oversea Student Visa Application Form (JW202). The applicant is able to apply for Study (X1) Visa in the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country.

3. Application fee, tuition, insurance fee，accommodation fee，and textbook fee
The scholarship applicant must apply in the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country and handle the relative procedure according to the agreement between the Education Ministry of China and the relative institution in the country.
VI．Expenses (RMB/Yuan)
1. Application fee 400 yuan per person
2. Tuition
(1) Chinese Language Students
Short-Term: Four weeks 2000 Yuan, increasing or decreasing 400 Yuan with increasing or decreasing a week
Long-Term: 6500 Yuan per semester, 13000 Yuan per year
(2) Students of Academic Degree
Undergraduate Students: 14000 Yuan per year
Postgraduate Students: 16000 Yuan per year
3. Insurance 300 Yuan per semester; 600Yuan per year
4. Accommodation
Each overseas student's apartment is equipped with lavatory, air-conditioner and public kitchen. It costs 250 Yuan per month to double up, 500 Yuan per month to live alone.
5. textbook fee（according to study plan each semester）
Note: 1. Students of short-term class should pay all the tuition in five days after entrance. 2. Other students should pay the tuition, accommodation fee and insurance more than one semester. 3. The 5% surcharge is levied on the delay of fees. 4. The students applying for withdrawal should propose before registration. If approved, the tuition will be back, otherwise, the commission will be charged according to 10% of the fees. In addition, the currency is RMB. After registration, all the tuition will be not refundable.
